We are seeking an experienced People Consultant to join our People & OD team. In this role, you'll be integral in supporting the Scottish Legal Aid Board (SLAB) workforce with expert advice including employee relations, performance management, and health and wellbeing. Each day will bring new challenges, making your deep understanding of people processes and employment law essential for success.

About the role
The People Consultant will support the People & OD team with case management. The role holder will be an integral member of the team with responsibility for ensuring SLAB’s workforce are supported, informed and empowered to make decisions through an advisory and supportive service. Each day will likely be different so an in-depth understanding of general people related processes and policies will be required to succeed.
The role involves advising and supporting staff and managers on all employee relations issues, including performance management, health and wellbeing, sickness and absence, conflict resolution, equality and diversity, dignity at work, investigations, and disciplinary and grievance procedures. You will work independently managing a diverse workload with competing priorities and should have good knowledge of employment legislation and the ability to deal with difficult situations.
This post is a fixed term contact (18 months) on a full time basis.
