The Public Defence Solicitors’ Office (PDSO) provides criminal legal defence services in all of the criminal courts in Scotland. We are currently looking for a permanent solicitor in our Edinburgh office.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly motivated team of solicitors dedicated to providing the best possible service to clients within some of Scotland’s busiest courts.
You will be expected to provide high quality criminal legal defence services in summary and solemn cases. With a full, post-qualified and unrestricted practising certificate from the Law Society of Scotland, you will have a current, valid driving licence as well as at least one year of criminal court experience in Scots Law and in advising and assisting suspects in police detention. Computer literacy in Word, Excel, time and case recording would be highly desirable.
