The Public Defence Solicitors’ Office (PDSO) provides high quality criminal legal defence services in all of the criminal courts in Scotland.
We're currently looking for three solicitors: one in Ayr; two in Glasgow (one of which is for a fixed term period of 6 months with the possibility of extension).
To be considered for any solicitor vacancies which may arise within the PDSO you must be an enrolled solicitor with a full, current unrestricted practising certificate from the Law Society of Scotland; a current valid driving licence (highly desirable, but not always essential, depending on the location); and (ideally) a minimum of 1 year’s criminal court experience in Scots Law. Computer literacy in Word, Excel, time and case recording would be highly desirable.
