As a member for SLAB’s Executive Team, the Director of Operations has a vital role in helping to drive SLAB forward to meet its corporate objectives. The post has Director’s responsibility for functions regarding SLAB’s processing and decision-making on legal aid applications, grants of legal assistance and applicant investigations, and the operational
delivery of the assessment of accounts submitted by solicitors and advocates. The Director of Operations is also responsible for identifying policy issues pertaining to legal aid decision-making to be reviewed within SLAB’s policy governance arrangements.
